COOGEE BEACHSIDE'S TOP 10 BEST THINGS TO DO IN SYDNEY

Posted on 21 October 2015

Coogee Beachside is centrally located to so many wonderful attractions.  Here are our
TOP 10 BEST THINGS TO DO IN SYDNEY
while you are staying with us. ENJOY!

1. CENTENNIAL PARK
Centennial Park has long been a natural haven for Sydneysiders and tourists alike.
It is a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic or lunch in the cafe.  People enjoy visiting the park to feed the ducks, go for a long walk, horse ride or bicycle ride around the park.
Centennial Park is known as the 'people's park'...a large public, urban park that occupies
189 hectares in the Eastern Suburbs. Similarities are often drawn between
Centennial Park and Central Park, NYC.
2. PADDINGTON SHOPPING
Adjoining Centennial Park you'll find the fashionable suburb of Paddington.
This suburb and more importantly, the strip of Oxford Street, William Street and the Intersection near Glenmore Road represent many of Australia's iconic fashion labels. On the weekend you will also be able to shop PADDINGTON MARKETS (located at Paddington Primary School) grounds. There you can discover many
independent up and coming designers and purchase tourist
souvenirs.
3. THE ROCKS
The historic Rocks precinct is a great place to find an old fashioned pub and enjoy a pint.
As one of the oldest areas in Sydney, there are many charming pubs for you to visit and being so close to the Opera House and Harbour Bridge, this area will be our next stop.
4. SYDNEY HARBOUR BRIDGE & OPERA HOUSE
You're probably familiar with our icons - the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House. These wonderful Sydney icons have been broadcasted around the world on New Year's Eve and when you think of Australia, these attractions might pop into your head.  As such, they are a must-see on your visit. We suggest booking for BRIDGECLIMB and really get to see the Harbour Bridge and view the harbour up close and personal.  Then, afterwards wander across to the Opera House and walk around capturing a few holiday snaps.  The Opera Bar is a popular place to eat and drink so perhaps drop in there before heading home.
5. DARLING HARBOUR
Tourists love Darling Harbour for all of its attractions. You can meet animals and sea life, climb aboard submarines and destroyers, see science in action, touch a giant 3D movie
or a waxwork movie star, ride a carousel, catch a flying fox in the Darling Harbour Playground, roll the casino dice, pull up a deck chair on the Village Green,
or escape to a blissfully tranquil garden.
There's so much to see and do and there are many shops for
souvenirs and wonderful restaurants to enjoy.
6. RANDWICK RACES
Royal Randwick is the jewel in the crown of Sydney racing. A compelling theatre of horse racing, culture, fashion and cuisine. From celebrities to socialites, millionaires to moms and dads, tourists and mad punters...Randwick Races is always a spectacle. With over 35 bars and restaurants, it's worth getting on your best clothes and heading to the track.
